American Son
The flagship restaurant for the Eaton Hotel in Washington, DC.
Problem
American Son has been slammed with private events from the time its doors opened. With every catering event, the client needed a signature cocktail or mocktail for service. This was especially important where the financial practicality of a premium, call, or house “Open Bar” was minimal.
Solution
We worked with the staff to assist them in depleting slow-moving inventory to produce premium punches for catering clients. Simple, fast, and delicious. Bar staff focused on presentation and speedy service.

Barcode
A popular restaurant and lounge in Downtown Washington, DC known for its Brunch and Late Night DJ parties.
Problem
At a time when liquor brands are not spending, our orientation is, “How can we help you survive and thrive?”
Solution
We executed our on-premise sampling program at their weekly Brunch service. This has contributed significantly to the depletion of ZURENA inventory. We are now featured on the Barcode DC happy hour and VIP Bottle Service menu, and execute monthly bar takeovers with focus on sales.

Beam Suntory is a world leader in SPIRITs with a special focus on making human connections. Sandlot Southeast is a 7500-square-foot indoor & outdoor cultural arts & event space in the shadows of Washington Nationals Park.
Problem
Both were in search of a signature recipe for their inaugural art installation by famed artist Andy Yoder.

Bite Club DMV
An underground speakeasy with curated small-plates & hand-crafted cocktails and mocktails.
Committed to supporting black-owned food & beverage businesses and brands, Bite Club DMV hosts two types of monthly events – (1) a no RSVP/ free admission social gathering with a retail sales component for food and beverage and (2) a ticketed/limited seating semi-formal dining experience with a 5-course dinner - each course paired with a unique cocktail or mock-tail creation.
Problem
The concept of supporting high-quality black-owned food & beverage businesses is positive and uplifting. Manager Crishon Anderson needed to present innovative cocktails and mocktails on a continuous basis that his staff would be able to create with ease and consistency. While both types of event formats differed, the need for creativity, consistency in creation and margins were significant. For the high-demand no-RSVP events, speed in cocktail/mocktail creation was also key, while the semi-formal dining events needed batching efficiency for serving multiple individuals the same cocktail options.
Solution
Bite Club features at least two of its five drink options with ZURENA during each of its monthly ticketed semi-formal events. Typically pre-batched punches, which provides efficiencies in creation and consistency with every pour. ZURENA is also an evergreen presence at the bar during the no-RSVP events, and always at least one highlighted cocktail or mocktail features
ZURENA.

Café Saint-Ex
Dive bar just off the popular U St. NW Corridor under new ownership in the last 24 months
Problem
In 2020 more than 110,000 eating and drinking establishments were temporarily or permanently closed. While Café Saint-Ex survived, co-owner Won Jin Chong was forced to reduce staff at the beginning of the pandemic. His need quickly shifted to having the ability to serve consistent and quality mixed drinks under COVID-19 restrictions without retaining an in-house mixologist to come up with palatable recipes. DC Department of Regulatory Affairs allowed some licensed venues to serve drinks to go and Café Saint-Ex took full advantage by partnering with ZURENA Premium Drink Mixers.
Solution
We worked with Café Saint-Ex to create a House Rum Punch (1 part rum and 2 parts ZURENA), Pilar Sidecar (1 part whiskey and 2 parts ZURENA), and a Premium Tropical for frozen drink service (determined x venue). All pre-batched by owner, Won Jin Chong, and sold at $12, generating needed revenues and margins in a most difficult time.

W HOTEL
Adjacent to the White House in downtown Washington, DC, the W Hotel represents one of the most storied venues for the socially sophisticated and a landmark for the traveler seeking a high-end experience for accommodations, food, beverage, and entertainment.
Problem
They were missing a healthy alternative to mixers being served at the lobby, at their champagne brunch, and at their DJ activations. The W also needed a solution for the non-alcohol drinker on the go.
Solution
We worked with the W staff to create a tropical mimosa (prosecco and ZURENA) that was served in a carafe for four guests, a well-received alternative to the orange juice that was typically served as it provided a lighter and more refreshing mimosa experience.
We also introduced the Club Soda Dance (Soda Water and ZURENA). ZURENA’s light and exotic taste Uplifts any soda water providing a refreshing low calorie and low cost drink. Sold at $6.05 per glass and served in the lobby daily.
